Welcome! My name is Crystal Her and I am currently a senior at Washington Union High School. I have been involved in the Health Institute program for 3 years and I have also been in Tennis for three years along with a few other extracurricular activities at my school. I plan to attend Fresno state University and get a bachelor's degree. In my portfolio, you will be able to see what experiences I have had in highschool that motivated me to become a nurse.

I joined girls tennis and made it on varsity. I've played on the team ever since I started so I've been in tennis for 3 years. I got seventh place at playoffs my senior year.

Four year ROP program that helps kids who are interested in the medical field. I joined sophomore year because I was interested in being in the medical field. Starting in 2015, we were able to volunteer at the CRMC for two days out of the week and got to experience how it felt to work in a hospital setting.

I have been in ASL for 2 years. In the past two years, I have learned the alphabet, colors, how to greet others and things like that. I have also interacted with kids that come to my school that are hard of hearing.

FCA stands for Fellowship of Christian athletes. It is an international non-profit Christian sports ministry. I have been at FCA for 2 years and it helped me to strengthen my relationship with God. It also helped me be more open and helped me meet new people that will always have a place in my heart. FCA has touched me, my heart and soul that no other organization has before.

HOSA is a student led organization that teaches leadership skills. Students who chose to go to the convention and can compete in various competitions that are related to a career in the health field. This year me and my partner competed in the board competition. Although we didn't make it, we made very memorable memories that we will all keep close to our hearts.
